Is anyone familiar with USB-Audio or USB-ASIO? According to the manual on a professional MD recorder we should be able to transfer digital audio across USB using any application that supports USB-Audio. I'm not familiar with it, but I have found a site which purports to do this: http://www.usb-audio.com/download.html I 'd love to get some feedback from anyone who's used anything like this. Doug |

There are many consumer portables that support USB file transfer/ conversion, PC-to-Minidisc, one direction only. I havn't heard of any portables or non-portables that allow USB Mindisc-to-PC. Maybe they mean a card or hard disc recorder. Most non-portables support the Sony/Phillips Digital I/O (S/PDIF) and some AES/EBU. Both are real time however. Check out www.minidisc.org for more info, sources and forums. |
