I am creating and editing sound effects files and have noticed that sound forge seems to require that I have 1 second of silence at the beginning and end of a sound file (mp3). I can delete out this silence but when I save the file, it is reinserted. Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks! Steve |

Use another format. It's not Sound Forge, it's the nature of the MP3 format. MJ |

That space at the beginning and end of the mp3, is actually where the header and data information is stored. It is the nature of MP3's to have that digital silence. In ACID you can still loop it, just by adjusting the amount of the wave file. However for web and other applications you can use another format which does not include those gaps - look at WMA, Quicktime and RAM as other options. Bye, Kevin *** |
