Subject:SPDIF capture w/ ac-3 payload

i have a dal card w/ spdif input and need to do spdif capture for troubleshooting, will sound forge be able to record & save captured stream? and play it back to an external decoder? mainly i'm looking into ac-3 payloads. comments?
