I have a PUlsar-II DSP card with loads of excellent synths. But unlike VSTis you can't just "bounce/render" your wavs into perfectly cut loops. Instead I've got to record them with something. What I want to do is fire up the sequencer, trigger the DSP synths, then record it into Soundforge, BUT as "perfectly cut" loops. I don;t want to have to fiddle about trying to find the exact loop point with everything I record. So is there a way in Soundforge to, say, have a 120bpm two-bar recording segment, then just save that as an Acid loop ? many thanks |

A 120 BPM, two bar (8 beat) loop would encompass a total of 4 seconds exactly. Maybe let the synth go and extract a 4 second selection on the resulting recorded take? Maybe you could also do it via MTC? (Have it trigger recording for 4 seconds?) Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

Thanks. Trouble is that setting lengths like that in SF usually gives a crossover click which you'd never get on a normal vsti render. It's all so messy. Considering that acid & sf supposedly work together, it's a shame that there is no set "loop grabber" mode where you define the tempo and number of bar, and the app gives you he right segment length. Maybe AP5 will solve this... |

It certainly would be nice to have it automate like that. Have you suggested it to Sony yet? Still, I have to tweak my loops just a bit since I play and record live. (I play guitar.) I just about always end up with glitches at the ends. (It's usually solved by applying fades at the ends though.)
