It should give you the option of running in demo mode -OR- putting in a serial number. There should be two buttons above the serial numbre field. If not, then you probably need to uninstall and reinstall the demo.

No one here is going to give you a serial number and there is no such thing as a trial serial number for Sound Forge.

I had the same problem when I tried Noise Reduction (latest version). It didn't give me a demo option. It was the ony that said Sony instead of Sonic Foundry, so maybe they changed something (vegas now puts a red X on your footage instead of the "sonic foundry" logo on red screen every one in a whlie in the trial.

Void5, I think you may have downloaded the regular Sound Forge 7.0a and not the trial. Try this: uninstall Sound Forge and delete the Sound Forge set up: C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\Sound Forge 7.0 . Install the Trial (get it from the Download page's Trial Versions) You should now be able to use the trial for 30 days.

As for Noise Rediction 2.0b: that's really a demo and not a trial. Now when you go to the plug-in chainer you should get a pop-up saying "Enter Serial Number or Buy now" (I'm paraphrasing). Just close this and NR will open in Demo mode. I think the Demo adds beeps when playing back. Again get this from the web's Download trial version location. (<<- If you've already d/l NR it from, say, updates, that's okay also)

The usual warning applies: do not under any circumstances try to install Noise Reduction to the Sony locations. You may end up with demos of all your plug-ins and it's just a pain to fix. Just go with the defaults. Same with installing Sound Forge in Sonic Foundry locations. It's a bother to fix.

Hope this helps, I just tried it and it worked for me.

I should add that Trials do not have the Run as demo option.
