Subject:Serial Number Invalid ??? help!

I purchased Sound Forge XP quite awhile ago, and it worked fine until recently when I changed my operating system from WindowsME to Windows2000. I re-installed the software, and now when it prompts me for my serial number and I enter it it says it's invalid. But it's the same serial number I have used all along. has anyone else had this problem? I can't even get into the program--any ideas??!
