Subject:No Sound With Soundfordge Posted by: kontron Date:4/19/2004 12:15:43 PM I just re-installed soundfordge on a new O/S and hard drive. I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 PLatinum sound card, and windows XP. I have set the "What U Hear" option on my volume control in the record settings so that i could record with soundordge from another program. However sound fordge does not hear the sounds and records only silence. I have tried every option i can think of to get sound fordge to record whatever sound is being played. Everything else works fine. i just cant seem to get it to record whatever is playing. for example i use absynth to play music, and i want sound fordge to record the sounds being played. any help would be great.

You probably have the default Microsoft sound mapper driver selected and the settings in Windows Sound Mapper are set incorrectly. You could fix this by changing it to the correct settings in the Windows Sound Mapper, but it's best to bypass this and use the actual sound card driver for full functionality.
