Subject:OT - Akai S1000 CD readable by PC?

Hello,

I just got an Akai CD-Rom, hoping to play it in my soft sampler & do some manipulation in Forge. Both XP and the sampler don't recognize it. Anyone know if that's normal, or could it just be a bad disk?

Is this CD-ROM usually for a hardware device that Akai makes? If so, it could be formatted in such a way that only those types of devices can read it.
