I'm using Sound Forge 6.0 and when I record it only records to the left speaker and I don't know how to copy a track to play on the right speaker. Can you help me out? |

You give no detail at all so some things to consider; If you are recording to a consumer soundcard's line in, this is a stereo input, you need to use a stereo jack (TRS, Tip, Ring, Sleeve). Did you record a mono source and not select mono in the record window? Finally, though not ideal if the first point is true, right click on "Stereo" in the status bar and choose mono. MJ |

If I understood what you said then it's probably your first explanation because when I plug in my instrument into the soundcard it only plays out of the left speaker. However, I fixed the problem. If anyone is having the same issues what I did was click on the "Process" bar then clicked on the "Channel Converter" option and inverted both of the channels. I don't know what it did exactly but it fixed my problem and I can't notice any other difference. |

Get a 1/4" mono female to 1/8" stereo male adaptor. Something like $3 at Radio Shack. MJ |
