Pardon my ignorance but what does the Virtual MIDI Router do? There is no information on the Sony site and I downloaded it but it doesn’t say what is does. (just how to install it) Does it even work with Windows XP? ~jr |

vmr , enable's you too trigger midi event's from external synth(or programs such as cake walk or cubase) via time codes or meserments(you can choose) set out on the grid of acid or soundforge.,apparently you just add marker ,then assian what midi event you want to trigger and bamoooo. Too install it you have too go thro the add hardware wizard, but i cannot figure it out . it is soppused too work on xp.it should!!!Any suggestions you find would be hugly apprechated,it would be great too be triggering midi from multi sources. thx Traveller |

Any suggestions you find would be hugly apprechated Here are the instructions for installing VMR on Windows XP in eleven (11) easy steps: ;-) Step 1: Open Control Panel and Select Add hardware Step 2: Press Next and let it search (you have no choice) Step 3: When its asks if the hardware is connected select “Yes, I have already connected the hardware” and Press Next Step 4: Scroll down the bottom of the list and select “Add a new hardware device” and Press Next Step 5: Select “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” and Press Next Step 6: Select “Sound, video and game controllers” and Press Next Step 7: Press the “Have Disk” button and find your OEMSETUP.INF file and Press OK Step 8: It will warn that the driver is not digitally signed, just Press Next. Step 9: At the ready to install dialog Press Next Step 10: When prompted select the number of virtual ports you want (1-4) and Press OK Step 11: Press Finish and you’re done. You will be prompted to restart your computer. Hope that helps. ~jr |
