As you playback the recorded file. Your mouse moves really slow from your actual mouse movements till after you hit the stop button.Clues?

The first thing I'd look at is in preferences. Change to your sound card's drivers since new installations use Microsoft Sound Mapper by default causing additional calculations on the fly.
