Anyone compared these two from a quality/feature standpoint? Are they equal for producing and/or film scoring purposes? Trying to decide whether to upgrade to a Mac G4 or utilize a cheaper 850Mhz P3 with XP Pro and 250 Ram.
Would appreciate any opinions, even if biased.

Thanks,
Bob

Isn't DP4 more of a sequencer (like Cubase)? Sound Forge is a digital audio editor. I would think Vegas is more suited for film scoring (but you might as well add Sound Forge just for its digital audio editing).

Digital performer is a multitrack audio and midi sequencing program, much like Logic Audio, Sonar and Cubase. Not really an apples to apples comparison with Sound Forge. You should look at Sony's Vegas and Acid for picture scoring purposes.
