Subject:Speed/Tempo Scrubber like MovieStudio has?

Hi all, I enable the speed "scrubber" in SB Movie Studio in the Internal settings... it's been incredibly valuable to me for fine-editing in this software. Actually, I use it to "micro-edit" audio files, believe it or not! But this has its limitations... Does SB Sound Forge v7.0a have a similar scrubber-type feature that can be enabled (whether in normal or Internal settings areas), whereby I can play back an audio file in real-time at a slower tempo? I can't find such a feature, even after carefully examining the Internal settings... I like to use slow-tempo playback and the "I/O" keyboard region-marking features to select a region to be edited whilst the file plays back. Now, I'm not talking about the "real-time" option in the ExpressFX process item. It isn't actually a true real-time playback of the file while in full-edit mode. I want to simply slow down playback of the file being edited in SBSF and mark In and Out points as it plays back slowly. If this feature doesn't exist, then I don't understand why not... it's in VideoFactory/MovieStudio and can even be accomplished in the freebie Acid Express 4.0...! (I do also have Acid Pro v4.0, but I'd love to do this in SB Sound Forge. Thanks for your input! Doug Whitehill |

Sound Forge does not have a scrub feature like ACID and Vegas, but you could temporarily lower the sample rate (right click in the status bar or adjust in File Properties) to play back slower, then just set it back to the native rate when you're done. J. |
