Okay, I'm stumped - what am I doing wrong? Using Sound Forge 6.0a, I'm perfectly able to record from the built-in microphone on my Hewlett Packard Pavillion laptop, but for some reason I'm unable to record from my line-in. I've done everything I can - adjusted the Recording Control for in Windows, made sure nothing was muted, nothing was unselected - but nothing's happening! Is there anything obvious I'm missing? Is there some setting in Sound Forge I've over looked? Sorry to bug everyone with such a simple question, but it's killing me! Ack! What can I DO? Thanks in advance! Phantom Zero Hero |

Are you sure you're adjusting the recording inputs? When you bring up the volume control mixer panel you're looking at the output controls. Have you clicked Options / Properties / Recording to switch to the input controls? |

Maybe you need to route your mic through a pre-amp first? Mario |
