I love the piano/keyboard they give you on the program; now all I need to know is how you make that piano play different sounds like the bass or drums. I dont have a MIDI keyboard that's why I do my MIDI with the keyboard they give you. Right now the piano sounds only like a piano. I can see the Soft Synth Properties, patch name, patch #, Bank MSB, and bank SLB. Thanx for any help. |

Under the Soft Synth Properties window (ALT+8 is the shortcut), simply click on an instrument in the list of available voices. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

I tried just click and it didn't work. In the "hybrid.acd-zip" file, that came with Acid, I could see that the DLS is different from mine native of Acid. It has some pre-defined "voice sets" like "LoFi Drum Kit" and "Synth Bass 10" and it only appears in this file. When I start a new file with a blank MIDI track, those voice sets don't appear. What am I doing wrong? |

You need to insert a SoftSynth and assign it to the new MIDI track. I believe that by default, MIDI tracks are assigned to whatever hardware MIDI device your soundcard uses. Also make sure you have the latest version of ACID 4.0f because more SoftSynth functionality was added around 4.0c. ~jr |
