Subject:trim tool

Hallo to all, i'm newbie in SoundForge,
I don't know how can I do to save an MP3 file before i trim it. If I trim the original song and choose Save As, the trim have no attect .... why ?

If you are trimming the silence before and after the audio, then save as .MP3 file, then the silence will get added back to the file. This is part of the .MP3 format. Try doing the same thing and save as .Wav and the silence will not get added.

That's right, but when I try to re-convert in mp3, all it returns like before ... thanks however
