Subject:CD extraction problem

I am having a major problem extracting tracks from SoundForge 7. Some tracks extract fine with no major peaks and no clipping, but on some CDs the whole track is extremely flat and clips all over the place. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem like this and how can I fix it? Any info would be great. Thanks!

Some CD's come with a copy protection, which is in the form of clicks or pop's that are anoying and wery audible to the ear but SF/CDa do not detect them.
They play fine, on regular standalone CD players but to play them on a PC you'll have to use a program that comes with them.
Some, dont even play on any Computer, but newer drives can cope with them.

Are these audible errors (clicks and crackles) or just rounded clips? You'd be suprised at how over-compressed a lot of modern CDs are, particularly guitar rock. There are several good web rants discussing this issue.
