I don't get this. Maybe I didn't do the right thing, but all I could find was a "stereo mixer" thing and I clicked that. But SF won't let me play my track and record at the same time. This is a new laptop for me and I have searched everywhere in my control panel to find how to change the settings for my sound card. So maybe I never actually did what you told me to in the first place. Its XP and a hewlett packard pavillion. What do I need to do? And will that make SF be able to play and record at the same time? Or will I need to play the track in like MusicMatch and record from SF? |

Sound Forge cannot play and record at the same time. I had assumed you would be playing the music track directly from a CD. If you already have the track ripped to a file on your drive then you can play it back with any media player, even Windows Media Player or Microsoft Sound Recorder would do the job. |

Ok well I was trying that, but it still hasn't worked. How do I get to my sound cards settings? I can't find it. I have Windows XP |
