I have the Gina 24 which is fine, and Soundforge 7.0a in a P4 1gb 2.4Ghz PC

Soundforge has always been great, but just recently there is a small "freeze" of a couple of seconds when i press the space bar to play and the cursor actually starting!

I think it maybe a buffer issue? but this never happened before - does anyone know what Gina/SF settings i can change to rectify this???

My Gina's buffer is set at the default 2048 samples.

With 2048 you dont get any delays when you press the space bar?

No delays. Has anything else in your system recently changed hardware wise? I have only gotten startup delays when my system was in ACPI mode vs. standard PC mode that it's now configured in. I have an older motherboard, so yours probably shouldn't have a problem running ACPI mode. Usually, startup delays can be contributed to an IRQ sharing of hardware.
