Did you mistakingly download the Greek language help file?

If you just want to keep vocals and remove the rest...you can't using Sound Forge.
If you're trying to do something else, please explain in more detail.

i want to edit the sample so that it loops the whole vocal portion. i know how to record the sample but here are my problem portions.

bottom line=

1. how do you properly use markers.
2.how do you tune a sample.
3.how can you clean it up polish it.
4.how do you use the editing tools.

I know how to get to the editring tools just don't know what it all means. it's weird not being able to see your adjustments in the viewing window when you make adjustments to them. if you can only hear them how do you knopw where you are in the sample to edit it?

p.s. do you know how to strip vocals off of a track i know you can't do it in sound forge. but are there any prducts that can?

Go back to where you got the crack for SF and get the crack for separating tracks, sampling and polishing. Oh while you're at it grab the crack for understanding Help files and unlocking Fort Knox. All of these tasks are equally accomplished.

UMMM -- you can check the Sonic Foundry 6.0 Manual and read pages: 203 - 212, it will explain how to setup midi to trigger your sample, further you can acidize your sampled region for looping purposes. If you want to tune a sample, why not just capture that portion and use pitch and phase correction techniques. Obviously working in SF6.0e, you can polish down to the very last sample.

ON the topic of samplers -- I use Native Instruments Kontakt it is a revolutionary software sampler, SF6.0 is very basic in comparison.

Download the user guide, and check the directions, I think it is fair to follow along.
