Subject:SF 7.0 - Download vs. Boxed

Folks -

I'm getting ready to purchase SF 7.0. The online purchase process has you pick whether you want the boxed version shipped to you, or want the download version. The download version states that there's no additional software, documentation or other items included. So my question is, what other goodies do you get with the boxed version that you don't get with the downloaded version and is it worth the wait to get the boxed version?

Thanks.

Nothing, as far as I know--apart from the box and CD. I've always bought the download versions, and all of the extras have been included. And that has in the past included full CDs of sound effects, etc. Version 7 doesn't have any of that stuff, but neither does the CD version.

The discount for buying a download simply recognizes that there's no manufacturing or shipping costs.

Bottom line: if you've got a beefy enough internet connection, go with the download. Even if you wait for the CD copy, you'll still probably have to download the 7.0a update anyway.

I figured that was probably the case. Thanks for the info. Download Ahoy.
