I'm a bit of a newbie so please be patient. I put an effect on a track and then mixed the track with the others to hear how it sounds alongside them. After not liking it, I went back to SF to undo, but this was no longer an option. I understand this is because I saved the file in the interim, but is there now no way to get my raw audio back? |

If you are rendering to a format like .Wav, then the Undo will only be available until you close out Sound Forge, where your undo options will then be destroyed. If you would like to do an Undo after closing out Sound Forge you will need to save the project as a .FRG, project file. Saving as a .Frg project file will keep your undos available after you close out Sound Forge. So it's best to work as a .Frg project and then render the project as a .Wav when you like what you have. If you decide later, you didn't like the changes like you did, you would then just open the .Frg project and undo/redo and render as a new .Wav. This is assuming you're using Sound Forge v7.0, because the .FRG project option was not available previous to this version. |

Probably not, sorry. SoundForge 7 has an "undo past save" option, but you have to enable it in advance. The best advice i can give you is to always Save As... into a new file name. That way your original file is never changed. |
