I just recently got my hands on Reason 2.5 and am loving it...however I am a little confused. What I'm trying to do is give my computer alone capabilities similiar to a MPC2000XL, as far as being able to sample from songs, edit them and incorporate them into your own music goes. Someone recommended I get Sound Forge 7.0 to solve my problem, which is...how do I use CDs and MP3s as resource material for sampling, then make the samples play in Reason 2.5. I brought up Sound Forge 7.0 and easily opened a MP3 file, edited the MP3 to exactly how I want my sound, but now am stuck...what do I do from here? How do I take this sound and turn it into something my Reason 2.5 can read? Will this process ruin the MP3 I'm sampling from? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

Hmmm... I would think that all you have to do is save the modified file as a file that reason can open, and then carry on as before. I am sure that reason can work with wave and aiff, so why not save to these formats? |
