New music and video in v4.0?

Hi all,
I just downloaded the upgrade to Movie Studio and am very pleased - especially with DVD Arch Studio. What a deal for a $30 upgrade!

I also downloaded all of the audio FX, also. However, I can't find the "new music beds and exclusive video clips" that are advertised as new to version 4.

Any ideas where I need to look find these?

MovieStudion Version 4 ? Where did you find that ?
I thought 3.0b was the latest ...

Check out several of the other recent threads in this forum. Or go to the "Products" tab at the top of this page and select Studio Projects.

This is just a guess based on previous product releases, but most likely the "music beds and video clips" are too large to be downloaded. They are most likely included on a CD when you purchase the boxed version and aren't available online.

D'oh!
That's not fair!
That'll teach me to succumb to my need for instant gratification.

(If that's the case...maybe they should let me decide whether they are too big to download. They posted links to the downloads of the audio FX so I had the option to skip them. They could do the same for the video.)

I'm hoping they just haven't put them online yet. Suzan?

Strange. From the online store if you choose to buy the full product (download) there is a checkbox indicating the following:

The Vegas Movie Studio CD includes content that is too large to download. If you choose, the Vegas Movie Studio CD will be mailed to you. The CD is free, but shipping charges may apply.

But for the upgrade (download) it says:

Movie Studio (Download)
Download the complete application, 1,001 sound effects, and manual from our web site to your PC. No additional software, documentation or other items included.

Good eye!
I'll bet that was an oversight on Sony's part. I'm hoping they'll provide a way for those of us who upgraded online to either get the content CD, or to download it piecemeal.

Writing a nice email to customer support often works wonders. Tell them you bought the downloaded version, when, and what email address you used (include your order confirmation number if you have it) and they can probably arrange to send the extra disc to you (shipping charges still apply). It can't hurt to try!

Most of the additional content (outside of the 1,001 Sound Effects) is a repeat of content that was available with Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0. So the idea was that upgraders probably wouldn't need the CD.

I just talked to our product manager about this, and he thought that there is enough new content that we should offer it. As such, I've added the CD to the downloadable upgrade (the same way it is if you're buying the full product).

I also talked to our customer service manager, and they're prepared to ship a CD to anyone who would like it. So, if you already placed your upgrade order and would like the CD, contact customer service and they'll set you up. Be sure to include your order number. That'll expedite things.

I'm sorry for the hassle.
