Hello, I'm new to sound forge and need some help. I have a bunch of voice clips and I have been pasting them together and would like to know if there is a way to smooth the transition from clip to clip so that it not so hard or so like it sounds more natural and not like its pieced together from different sound clips? I'm not sure if that makes sence but any help would be great. I have sound forge audio. Do I need something else to do this? what steps/effects should go through to try and get what I want. Thanks for your help, I can post a sound file if that will help. Dave |

Get Vegas -- and use the fade and blend features -- use the volume envelope tool to automate volume equalization. SF7 for a project like that might not be so good -- even though there is a nice WYSIWYG fade / blend animation when combining tracks. Depending upon your patience this might work fine. However for segregated speech files timing and naturalness is important, so Vegas would be nice here. |

thanks for the reply. Can you explain why Vegas would be better for segregated speech files? |
