Subject:SF7, Multiple Takes to Regions, and Prerecord Buffer Bug?

Hi all, I am using Sound Forge 7.0a, build 262, and noticed something weird, and was wondering if it is a bug or not. I am recording audio. The record mode is Multiple takes creating Regions, and I set the prerecord buffer to 2 seconds. I record the first take. I arm the second take, and the start recording. The second take records over the last two seconds of the first take, and the region markers reflect this. In other words, multiple takes result in overlapping regions and I lose recorded audio. Is this normal? Is there a safe way to use multple takes as regions and the prerecord buffer? Thanks. |

Hmm...I can repro but not all the time. Sometimes it overlaps, and sometimes it doesn't. Have you emailed support yet? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

Tech support got back to me, and they said that the 7.0b update may take care of the problems. If I get some time this week, I will see if it fixes the problem. |

Apparently, 7.0b does fix the problem as I haven't been able to repro the problem again thus far. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

I agree. I did some quick testing this afternoon, and was unable to reproduce the problem. |
