Subject:no sound

i was going to to record with acid but i notice there was no sound being recorded through the microphone. the sound that was being recorded was the track that was playing in acid. thinking it was a simple problem i reinstalled acid 4.0 back to my computer. now i dont get any sounds recorded on to tracks. it comes out as a staight line on the track with no sound. please help.

When you open the Record dialog, there is a dropdown listbox at the bottom labeled Record device:. Make sure you select the microphone input as the record device.
