I have Soundforge installed and registered and when I get the Record window open I have 3 choices from where I can record from: "Microsoft Sound Mapper","USB Audio Device [or something similar]" and "C-Media Wave Device", the last one being my sound card. The first two are both my USB webcam, and this records fine - although it has a lot of inevitable background noise from my computer humming. I then made a lead and connected my amplifier from the 'Emulated Line Out' socket into my sound card's 'LINE IN' socket. I clicked on my sound card on soundforge's record window and the bars on the right (that show the volume of what's being recorded) are constantly full, but if I record anything while they are full I get silence in the recording. Does anybody have any idea why I get silence and not the sound outputted from the amp? The amp is switched on and I have tried putting the lead into the MIC IN socket, although that doesn't work either. And I put the speakers in the line out and the other one [sorry i forgot it's name] and neither gets any sound. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for your time and help. |

If the monitor meters are full you should at least get noise in the resulting recording. Are the soundcard's input sliders turned all the way up or muted in the software mixer itself? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |
