Subject:Loops Not Playing When Saved

Ok, I've searched this forum and everyone asks about the pauses put in when saving loops. I can't even get output audio to loop! I swear I must be missing something really obvious.

Ok, so I setup loop points in Sound Forge and when i hit play the audio loops correctly and everything. However, when I export what I"ve been working on to wav and then play that file in winamp or any other player, the audio never loops! Odly if I open up the wave file in Sound Forge it reads it correctly loads the loops.

So my question is why aren't my loops playing from my outputed/saved audio files?

Thanks for reading,
- Chad

The loops are only really one shot audio when saved, that when put into a program that supports loop playback will loop correctly ,if the loop was setup properly in Sound Forge. If you want a possible loop playback of one of these loops in a player like winamp, then the best you can do is enable the "repeat" track playback, this is the same thing it does in Forge when you enable the loop playback. Even then there's no guarantee it will loop correctly in Winamp, because Winamp might be setup differently for repeat playback.

Are you talking about loops for use in ACID, et al. or RIFF marker loops for use in a sampler?
