What is "batch converter" anyhow? There is some such product listed on the Sony site but that refers to some soundforge 5.0 software.

I got Batch Converter included free on my Vegas 3 CD. As I remember it, you had to install it from the Vegas 3 disc and it would automatically be unlocked, you didn't manually enter a serial number.

The bundled version came originally with Sound Forge 5 and then Vegas 3, and is apparently discontinued. That said, it will still install successfully for me. Maybe ACID Pro 4 also qualified for the batch converter?

As long as you install the proper version, you won't have to enter a serial number at all--but registration is still required.

I ran into this same problem recently. I couldn't find my serial number for Batch Converter so I called Sony Support and they helped me out since I had already registered it.
