Subject:All settings gone when started via hotkey

I have a very strange problem with my Sound Forge: Whenever I start it with a hotkey (I use Ctrl-Shift-s, but I tried other ones too), all settings are deleted: The list of recently opened files in the files menu is empty, if I change the list of recent files to display from 6 to 9, it is back at 6 after such a start etc. If I start SF via the start menu or via a batch file, all works fine, the list of recent files is updated with the files I open and it never gets erased. I cannot think of a difference between starting a program via the start menu and starting it via a shortcut key.

Has anybody here an idea?

Thanks

Dwis

If you hold down Ctrl+Shift early in the lauch process, Forge (and all other Sony apps) resets user preferences. It's undocumented, but is there by design. Use a hotkey combination without Ctrl+Shift in it and you're settings will stick around.
