Subject:USB recording device support

I currently have a Xitel Inport USB recording device ( http://www.xitel.com/product_inport.htm ), of which I am able to record my records via LP recorder. When it used in conjunction with a trial version of Soundforge it does not work! So I suppose my questions are:
1. Does Soundforge support USB recording devices?
2. If so how? is it a driver? A plugin?
3. Would Sound Forge consider implementing this?
4. If so how long before it would become reality?
Any comments?

1. Yup, I use my MobilePre USB for recording.
2. I just see my device in the dropdown in the record box, but I usually just use the Microsoft Sound Mapper device.

Tried your option of the Sound Mapper and still had the problem. I tried a couple of other programs with the same outcome, however the LP recorder was the only one that worked. I played around further and I managed to get a recording in Steinberg Clean 4 (free on a magazine CD). Anyhow seeing that this was working I uninstalled the trial version of LP recorder and proceeded to start recording - a flat line again! Hmmmmmmmm.
Suddenly I realised that having the LP recorder open in the background would allow me to record, either through the mapper or the USB audio device selection. Tried this in all the other programs that I had been trialling and I am now happily recording away with not a problem.
So this is one for all those Xitel inport users out there!
Thanks for the initial prompt, it allowed me to finally solve the problem.
