I recently recorded a live band at a show. When I playback the mp3 recording it sounds "blown out" like the microphone was too close to the speakers. Is there any way to clean up this file? Thanks |

If it was digital overflow...clipping, (peaks in the wave form squared off @ 0dB.) then the Noise Reduction-2 plug-in process "Clip Restore" may help. If the mics were overloaded and/or the mic pre-amps overdriven... there ain't a hell of a lot you can do. EQ may help, but it'll still be distorted. The same goes if it was recorded as a low-res MP3 file. |
