Quick question. Can NR2 remove the sound of a jet fighter flying overhead? Well, I'm joking a bit, but I was just in a recording session, and a jet fighter flew over us at a fairly low altitude. Despite all of our soundproofing and a directional mic, it was still pretty loud in the recording. Good thing we needed to do a pickup at that point anyway. Possibly, but it would be tricky. You would probably make a noiseprint of the jet approaching and run a noise reduction session using that noiseprint, then a second run using a noiseprint of it passing and a third one for after it had passed. That would be the only way I could see you doing it in order to account for the doppler shift of the jets noise. |
