hi all, i have just got SF 7.0 as I would like to mess about an improve some all Mini DIsc's that I have. The thing is I can't get the computer to recognise the Mini Disc. I have the MD playing with a jack lead going from LINE OUT on the MD to LINE IN on my computer. The guy in the shop I bought SF 7.0 from said it should be fine. Does anyone know why it is not recognising the MD player? Did I need an Audio Interface to get my computer to cognise the MD player? or do Ineed some form of pre-amp for the MD player? (the guy in the shop said I wouldn't need an Audio Interface but'maybe' a pre-amp) Is it possible at all that to import an audio signal from a MD player into a computer? Do i need another software program to help my computer to regonise the MD player? (eg something liek Nero?) Sorry if this all very obvious, I ma new to all this and feeliny very helpless at the moment. Many Thanks, Paddy (UK) |

Open your SOUND CARD'S mixer, usually by double clicking the speaker icon in the system tray. Options > Properties > Recording > OK. Now you are in the RECORDING mixer, select LINE IN and adjust the fader while viewing the meter in SF. MJ |
