Subject:Music Loop transition

I'm trying to make a music loop using SF 7.0 that is about 40secs long for
a flash website.

Is there a way to listen to just the transition quickly (end - begining of loop)?

The loop editor has a pre-loop, loop, and post loop button. But when I press
the loop buttion I have to listen from the start and wait the entire 40 secs to
get to the transition. I'm trying to get a seamless loop and need edit/listen
quickly to the transition.

Are there any any links to pointers or FAQs and making seamless music
loops quickly?

Thanks

Hold down Ctrl when you click play.

OK, what am I missing? When I hold down the ctrl key and press play, it plays across the end of the loop and into the segment that follows the loop.

How do I make it play across the loop transition (end of loop --> begining of loop) quickly to hear the actual loop transition without having to start the playback at the beginning of the loop each time?

Oh, sorry, I missed that you were using the Loop Tuner.

Make sure "Loop Playback" is enabled and select the loop in the main data window (just double click between the loop markers). Then use Ctrl + the "Play Normal" button. You'll have to reselect any time you change endpoints in the loop tuner window.

If you are using loop tuner to match endpoints, that's fine, but it's intended to work on RIFF Sampler loops. So once you get it sounding like you want, you'll want to re-select the loop portion and crop or copy/paste-to-new.

OK, thanks. I'll give that a try.

Thanks for the tip on selecting the loop to save. I wasn't sure how to do that.

After I create my loop, it wasn't obvious how to save just the loop. What I ended up doing was choosing edit->select and manually entering the begining and ending samples then doing a edit->crop (or trim?) Your way seems quicker.
