Subject:Remove music, keep lyrics?

I was wondering if there was anyway I could remove the music from a audio file, but keep the lyrics. I am guessing since the human voice has a specific range, it can be done, but I don't know how.

Well there's;

Kelly's plugin

Or, click the FAQ above > # 6

Or, search the forum for "remove vocals/music".

Well, you could open a text editor, use Time Stretch to slow it down, and type like crazy. Otherwise, I don't know any other way.

Kelly's Plugin might work, but I don't know how to get it.

They are making fun of you, mate. I've lost count of how many people have posed your question. After you buy a gallon of, say, peche colour paint from Home Depot, there is no way you can, on your own, restore it to the original white. You cannot remove the several tinting shades added to the mixture. I suppose some sort of industrial blaching agent could neutralize the colour (though the paint wouldn't likely be good for much after that). Same applies to mixed audio: it cannot be done.

btw: your last post regarding where to get the "plug in" had me in stitches, thank you for that.

I feel stupid now.

I didn't look at the other choices on that picture..

I appreciate you all messing with me though, and not simply saying no.

I think it was just a liitle initiation ceremony, I apologize for everyone if your feelings were hurt.
Welcome aboard, I think you will really find the people here supportive and willing to help, even with newbie questions (as long as they don't involve Soundblasters or removing vocals).

On your first day in the barn, you usually step in something, in this case it was a big one. Sorry if we had a little fun at your expense.
