Subject:extracting audio from cd/ removal of silence

hello there,
I'm new around here, was wondering if there is away in settings to permanately remove the 1 second silent gap at the beginning of an audio file when using the extract from CD feature. It automatically adds a 1 second silent gap at beginning and end of an audio file. I usually have to edit out the silence myself, I wish there was a easier way.
Help

thanks

The one second at the top and end is not always one second. No and there is no way to do it automatically, except for some tools after you already have it extracted. Is it really that difficult in sound Forge?....use the Trim/crop command or the auto region command.

If you are seeing silence at the beginning and end of the tracks then that silence is there on the CD. Sound Forge isn't adding it; it's merely ripping an exact copy of the CD contents.
