I work in Italy with a very old version of SoundForge (4.0) and I need to convert regions of a long audio recording in separate WAV files. Can I do it in some way or do I need to upgrade in order to do it? And if the latter is true, upgrade to which version? Thanks a lot in advance for any help you can provide. |

I don't know if you have the full version of Sound Forge or the XP version, and then again i don't know of the full version of 4 had "Extract Regions", but, if you look under tools and find Extract Regions that will do what you want. If you don't find that, then doubleclick in the first region, Ctrl-C to copy, Ctrl-E to paste to a new file, save as with whatever name you wish. Repeat for each region. If you do decide to upgrade, there's no reason not to go with the newest version. Older versions aren't available from SONY anyway. |
