Working on wmv video files in SF7, could you explain how to a) cut the file (audio + frames) b) cut the audio track only (and leave the frames). When I select a portion of the audio track, and apply the scissor, the audio is cut, but the corresponding frames remain... which desynchronizes the result. What is to be done to include the frames in the cutting ? Thanks |

Use a video editor like Vegas. As far as Sound Forge is concerned, video is a static stream applied to a given piece of audio. The only modification it will do is truncate the video to the length of the audio. J. |

The video is indeed a 'static' element in SF. If I cut a portion of the audio stream at the front part of the file, the audio part becomes shorter than the video part. When you say that the video is truncated to the length of the audio, does it mean that the end portion of the video would be cut to match the length of the shortened audio ? If that is the case, SF can only be of use to clean the sound track of a video file, but of no use in synchronization of sound and image, and of any other video related function.
