Subject:Playback too fast

New to this forum. Been using sound forge 7 for over a year.Mostly live recordings from FOH sound board via USB mobile pre. Recently got new laptop installed software fine and after recording live theater production, everything seemed to go as usual, upon playback the speed appears too fast , resulting in a high pitch change...Any suggestions: 1. How to correct this in future and 2. How to correct recording already made ? Promised people disc of their show....

Very simple thing to do is to find the sample rate displayed near the bottom right corner of the screen, double-click it, and enter a lower value. Once you get it right you can Process / Resample back to whatever sample rate you want.
