Subject:Sound out of synch with mpeg-2 video

I opened an mpeg-2 video file in sound forge 7 (not the 7.0b update) and increased the volume of the sound of that file, then saved the file with the changes. When I played the file using both RealPlayer and Windows Media Player, the sound was significantly out of synchronization with the video.

Does anybody know how this problem can be resolved?
