Subject:Wave Hammer--Volume Maximizer

This seems kind of basic, but either I'm misreading the documentation for Volume Maximizer entirely or it's wrong. The pdf doc says: "The Threshold fader is used to adjust the audio level at which the volume maximizer activates. Audio levels higher than the Threshold are affected, while audio at levels lower than this value pass through the volume maximizer uninterrupted."

It didn't seem to be acting that way, so as a test I generated a sine wave at -12 db, set the threshold at -6 db and an output level -3 db (the Wave Hammer compressor is bypassed). The audio level was raised to -9 db. That's sure not the way I read the documentation.
