Hey guys, I just found out about a new project called The Freesound Project http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php Looks like the project is creating an archive of free sounds that are licensed under the creative commons license. If you don't know what creative commons is, check out creativecommons.org. Here is what the project claims according to their website:

"The Freesound Project aims to create a huge collaborative database of audio snippets, samples, recordings, bleeps, ... released under the Creative Commons Sampling Plus License. The Freesound Project provides new and interesting ways of accessing these samples, allowing users to"

Here is a link to what a Creative Commons sampling license is: http://creativecommons.org/license/sampling?format=audio

Enjoy and hopefully you will use this free archive and also contribute.

Disclaimer: I'm not connected to this project in any way shape or form. Just a video and audio user that is an advicate of creative commons licensing.
