Subject:SF 8 mouse issues when selecting audio

I'm having some problems while editing. I seem to select audio without actually dragging the mouse at times. I also at times seem to select regions or ranges with a single instead of a double-click. I've tried 3 different USB mice, all with the same result. Am I missing some preference setting, or is this another in a growing series of SF 8 bugs? I've been relying on SF for many years to edit voice tracks and have never come across this. Help!
