i have dj mix that is cut into two parts. it is faded out at the end of part 1 and faded in on part 2. i want to put them together into one file. is there a way to reverse the fade in and fade out? |

You can use Process / Fade / Graphic and set the range to 400%. This will let you gradually "unfade". You may have to do this several times to get the volume to approach the original. Remember though that at the very ends of the fade you are facing a mathematically impossible situation. Where the volume has been faded to zero no amount of increase will bring it back. Even where it is not zero, but very close, increasing the volume too much will result in noise and distortion. You will have to either: a) trim some of the ends and discard them b) overlap the ends to create a crossfade c) allow a brief section between the two parts where it does go silent. Which choice is correct depends on the material and your preferences. |
