I am having a strange problem, and was wondering if others can reproduce it. I have a few Quicktime files that were output from Final Cut Pro. The video is DV/DVCAM NTSC, and the audio is 48 kHz / 16 bit. I open the .mov, and try Tools -> Statistics. The CPU pegs out at 100%, and I never get the statistics window. I open the .mov, do a C-a, C-e, and Tools -> Statistics on the new sound. The CPU pegs out at 100%, and I never get the statistics window. I open the .mov, do a C-a, C-e, C-s. I then quit SF, open the new sound, then do Tools -> Statistics on the new sound, and everything works as normal. This happens both in SF7b and SF8. Is this normal? We have been able to reproduce this problem and are working on a fix. As an easier workaround than the one you describe, try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in the General page of the Preferences. That should help avoid the issue. Thanks. |

Thanks, that seemed to do the trick. |

BTW, after finding several bugs in SF8 and reporting them here with exact steps on how to reproduce them, how about a SN to unlock Acid? :) |
