"ACID metadata — including the ACID track type — is now accessible via scripting." This is listed as one of the fixes in SF 8 and I did not get the original purchase of SF8 because I only wanted it to do ONE THING, have the capability to set loop length and tempo via scripting. SO when I see the above "fix" listed does this mean that my needs are being met? Also, if this IS the case, does the procedure still do that thing in which, when you are scripting this function, that you have to select the desired property in the Tempo window and the Acid property window as a "pop up" for every file that you want to save? When I tried the demo JETDV submitted a script that would allow a person to set this meta data, but you had to sit through the respective pop up dialog boxes for EVERY file, and quite frankly, that didn't seem a whole lot better to me. Last question, does anybody know if the trial version of SF 8 is the updated version (a) or is it still the original one that Sony posted a few weeks back? Thanks for the knowledge! luces |

No. There is no need to show a dialog unless you wish to. As of 8.0a Scripts now have direct access to all of the basic Acid parameters including Loop/One Shot, Beat Count, Root Note, & Tempo. Have a look at the script called AcidTest.cs (in the Unit Tests folder for C# scripts). in the Sound Forge Scripting SDK. You can get that from this web site at Downloads->Free Downloads->Development Kits. Message last edited on5/22/2005 4:20:12 PM by_TJ. |

I believe it's 8.0a. If you look at the build number, they are the same for both. Mario |
