I am trying to create a small sound loop out of a larger mp3. I then want to import it into a flash movie so that it seamlessly loops. The trouble I am having is that every time I save it, the start and finish are produce a small interval, silent clip, gap or whatever you may call it. So when I play it there is a gap in the loop rather than seamless. I pressume there is a setting somewhere I need to switch. Any ideas please |

Funny, I just came here to ask the same question and it happens to be the first post on the forum. So what is up with the added dead space at the begining and ending of the saved sample? Message last edited on6/30/2005 3:09:38 AM byFatbat. |

You need to save the loop as a .wav file instead of .mp3. Saving as .mp3 always adds extra silence at the beginning and end; .wav doesn't. Flash authoring applications will compress the audio for you when saving the animation. |

That's just stupid. It's not always desireable to use .wav files. We need to be able to export mp3s without this dead space being added to the file. |

I have never tried it and do not know how or if it works... but supposedly L.A.M.E. ver. rc3 has a mode which does not insert silent spaces. |
