I am using an alesis multimix8usb mixer with 1 mircophone and earphones. Everything appears to be well and appropriately connected to my computer through a USB port which the computer is recognizing. When I open a new file in sony sound forge audio studio 7.0b and go to record, the RED recording light is blinking as it should, the 2 green bars are appropriately moving, the recording time is progressing nicely, the sound is coming through my earphones accurately, BUT when I close the recording window and go to the file window, there is no sound wave form! and if I press play in audio studio, there is no replay. N.B. I have recorded successfully before with another microphone (but without the mixing board) and everything works properly. I am also able to retreive those files and listen to them through my mixing board headphones as well as the computer speakers. I have worked with gateway and they say its the software, I have worked with alesis multimix people and they say it's the software. Help! Thanks Tim |

First, double check the file properties. See where the files are going to. It's possible that the files may be going to a different location. Second, If they are not appearing then hit refresh located under "view". Sometimes the files won't appear for me until I do that. |
